Very Very Short Stories from the Astral (unedited)
the wrong floor
I accompanied the child, a little girl. We took the elevator and got off on the 27th floor. The elevator opened up into an open space, an outdoor space. Do elevators do that? This child was very little. The size of a little pet. Her hair was black and her body felt roundish almost like a ball. I could not see her face. She felt fuzzy, but she was definitely human. The child belonged to the people on that floor. The floor, however, was a place/neighborhood. It was a whole town that only the "family" lived in. They were separate from the common folk. The little girl I was holding in my arms was one of the them. I don't know how I wound up with this child in the first place. I only know that I needed to return here home to this place. When you get off the elevator you enter onto a paved path which leads to a cliff. There you see a spectacular view of the sky. Though there was daylight I could not see the sun. I see quite a few towers on the left side. It was their downtown. The place was spotless, the air clean. It felt too perfect. There was no noise and no pollution. It was a pure depiction of what a perfect world could look like. Dare I call it cartoon-like. It was far more real and bright than the Earth we live in. However, I felt it animated in nature. We walk down the short path. I see a nicely dressed woman in her 20s looking out over the cliff enjoying the view. She turns around. She is shocked to see me and yells out: -- What are you doing here? You are not supposed to be here! Me: I am bringing back this little girl. --You are not supposed to be here! You got off on the wrong floor. You were supposed to get off on the 26th floor. You are on the 27th. You should not be here! Get back on the elevator and go to the right floor!
She was not angry. She was shocked to see a stranger. Apparently, I accessed this place where strangers were not allowed. Why were we not allowed? More importantly, how was I able to get here so easily via the elevator? How did I wind up with this child who was one of them? It seemed that I had to go through the proper channels. I assumed the 26th floor would have a typical facade set up: a proper receptionist and reception area to greet me. I pick up the little girl and pressed the 26th floor button on the outside of the elevator. Did I just access a private astral city?
better option
Felipe was lost in this "city." He was trying to find his way home. The city was grey and dark as always as it appears in his dreams. It was a city of constant noise even when quiet. He could tell that those out and about at night were strangers pretending to be friends in a city full of loneliness. All he wanted to do was get back home. He in desperation called an old acquaintance, an old flame. She wasn't too pleased to hear from him. He got the idea that she wasn't at all interested in helping him out. As he walked through the city towards the subway, he could feel the flat dense environment surrounding him. Somehow he always wound up in the same location not too far from a subway line. He didn't want to take the subway. It was not the ideal situation. It was the long way home. There was no color, no vibrancy in this town. It was a flat charcoal drawing void of life. He didn't know what else to do or who else to call with no solution in sight. All of a sudden, the scene changed. In a split second, he found himself in a bright room of a house. He felt that it was supposed to be his "home" or an environment representing his home though it did not at all look familiar. The house was idyllic, comfortable with nice cozy furniture. He noticed himself sitting up as if propped up on a table. The next thing he realized was that he was being examined. He was being given a physical examination. To his surprise, the doctors were two non-human looking beings. They were much taller than him. They had long, big yet slender heads and very thin long bodies. Their bodies were completely white with a thin black outlined silhouette. He felt comfortable with them. In fact, he felt no physical pain or sensations at all during the examination. They didn't use any equipment. It was an energetic examination. He noticed that as they looked into his eyes and body he too could see inside his physical body. Right in front of him was a floating holographic screen. He could see the organs of his body. He could see what they saw. The hologram looked like a casino slot machine screen: 3 separate screens. As they examined him, the screen slots changed showing different organs. It was all in color. Felipe asked one being why he had to experience certain medical issues in his life. He asked why couldn't he have had a different issue. Strangely he knew that he, along with these beings, had "chosen" to experience this particular medical problem. Even knowing that, he was angry about his difficult life. The being told him that if he had chosen to have other issues with a different organ that it would have been a far more complicated and difficult life. The physical issue that he/they had chosen collectively for this lifetime was, in fact, a less difficult one and the "better option."
