I start to wonder why we give significance to dates. what is history but a sequence of events and you would not remember the date of time of anything unless of course you wrote down that date and time for purpose of remembering. on the other hand, if you were so immersed in the moment would you even consciously have the need to mark the date of that moment? wouldn't what would be in your memory the scene and events that took place? does the actual date even mean anything in the context of your whole life? is recorded history as read in books only a snapshot of someone's perspective only written after the fact, after the experience occurred? what if we forgot about trying to remember the events of the past and focused on our current state? would our mind be more at peace? what if we just stopped altogether trying to figure it out? would we have peace of mind? what does it matter how much you know, how much information you can recite, how much knowledge you can memorize?
what if what was truly important was our total immersion in the present moment? would our heart be at peace?
