when i look at old photographs i notice the details: the buildings, the people's facial expressions, the facade, the way someone leans, or the way someone's eyes look into the camera. I feel like I am there. as if i can insert myself in the space and experience that time as an observer. as if looking into the photograph a moment was captured and, by me looking at it, we share the energy of that space. an absorption of electromagnetic fields in "time." quantum leap as some have called it.
I could walk around in old buildings and structures all day. who lived here? who built this? how was it built? what was it used for? why has it gone to ruins? I could ask all these questions but truly none of them would be answered solely through observation. Not even a scholar could know everything. there is just too much information, so much knowledge, only so much our brain could hold. so instead I Observe it all. reality in which we live is beyond our imagination. most of us just don't care to see it.
