Time Travel Device
The gentleman with white hair explained to her that there was a technology:  a time travel technology. She didn't see it for herself. He told her that she could choose any time that she preferred to live in. For some reason the decade of the 70s or 80s was mentioned. He said she would start a new life story there, but that all she was as herself in this present story would be forgotten. She would not remember the experiences, the people, the friends, even her personality would be forgotten. He told her to think about it. He was very nonchalant. The ladies with her told her what fun it would be. They told her they liked the 80s hairstyles and that they would travel to that time.  Did she want to lose all her experiences and knowledge gained in this place where she was right now? It was an intriguing proposal. The bigger question was "Where exactly was she now? 

Dream within a Dream
She felt the shiver of the noise through her bones.  She was sleeping.  Was she dreaming? The electricity was in her body. She wanted to wake up. She shook herself. Wake up wake up! When she did she was in her bed.
he saw lighting out her bedroom window. But she realized the room, furniture, bed, the feeling of where she was was not of present day. It was in the 1800s. She was confused. What was she doing there? Where was she? 
She could still feel the shivers. She shook herself again. Wake up wake up! Then she awoke. She was now in present time.
